Chris Brogan's 50 Power Twitter Tips

If you haven't come across +Chris Brogan's article: 50 Power Twitter Tips, then here is the intro and link to get there. This is such great information, broken down into five categories: intent, technical, business, integrated usage, and off-twitter. Some may fit in more than one category.
A while back, Chris wrote 50 Ideas on Using Twitter for Business. It still gets plenty of attention, and it’s listed as an official resource on the Twitter business resources page. But you know, Chris can’t leave well enough alone, so here he is with another 50 Power Twitter Tips. Chris says to feel free to repost all or any of this, but if you do, please give credit to this link: http://www.chrisbrogan.com/50-power-twitter-tips/ Which is EXACTLY what we shall do. Thank you Chris Brogan for all the great hints, tips, and information you provide for those of us seeking a way through it all.

I especially like the following:

  • Leave 20 characters or more space in each tweet to improve retweeting. (This will take some skill)
  • Use Seesmic or Tweetdeck or Hootsuite so you can see more. ( I use Seesmic)
  • Twitter makes every event better. Post the hashtag everywhere. Make every speaker sign/label/name include a Twitter ID. (Will be doing this one)
  • Build lists to watch people who matter to you more closely.(Novice, I guess, never built a list)
  • Promote other people 12x to every 1 self-promotional tweet. (Nice)
  • What do you think of Chris' Twitter Tips? What special tips did you add to his list?
